The Attorneys - James A. Bonfiglio, Esq.

James A. Bonfiglio, Esq. graduated from the University of Rochester in 1975 and Loyola University School of Law in 1979 with a Juris Doctor degree. He was also admitted to the Florida Bar shortly afterwards in 1979. Mr. Bonfiglio has focused his practice in the area of mortgage foreclosure issues since his admission to the Florida Bar. His practice has concentrated exclusively in representing wronged consumers who are facing the loss of their homes to their mortgage lenders since 1990.

Mr. Bonfiglio is one of a small number of attorneys in the country who concentrate in the field of Federal Truth in Lending litigation. His expertise in defending mortgage foreclosures for consumers through the use of Truth in Lending has placed several of his cases before every level of Court in the land, including many of the Florida Circuit Courts, the District Courts of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Bonfiglio has extensive experience representing clients throughout the United States, including New York, Colorado, California and Louisiana. In addition, he assisted in presenting one of the landmark Truth in Lending rescission cases to the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Bonfiglio has been a guest lecturer to Nova University Law School, and has assisted in presenting continuing legal education courses to both private attorneys and legal aid services in Florida. He is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the Southern, Middle and Northern District Courts of Florida, and the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
